SUV Accident Off Rocky Mountain’s Path Ridge Street Causes Momentary Closure

At roughly 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, Rocky Mountain Nationwide Park acquired a name from a customer touring on Path Ridge Street who noticed a car off street. A small SUV with one occupant had pushed off Path Ridge Street east of Gore Vary Overlook, and the car got here to relaxation roughly 500-feet down the steep slope.  Whereas the occupant was being rescued, Path Ridge Street was quickly closed for 2 hours.  

The occupant, a 54-year previous man from Florida, walked up from the car with help from park employees and the Estes Valley Hearth Safety District and was transported out of the park by Estes Park Well being ambulance.   

Path Ridge Street was quickly closed once more this morning, September 2, for roughly 4 hours as park employees and Monarch Towing Firm labored to extract the car and all related particles.  

Along with the park’s Search and Rescue group and regulation enforcement employees, associate businesses offered key help on this incident, together with the Estes Valley Hearth Safety District and Estes Park Well being.
